ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

An author at the International Conference on Economics Research and Financial Markets can attend with at most two presentations. The presentations will be done in Turkish or English in the Congress. However, the summary should be written in the language which the presentation will be done in.
The following considerations should be taken into consideration on writing abstracts and full texts.

Abstract Guidelines

  • Abstracts should be a maximum of 500 words.
  • Keywords in abstracts and full-texts should not be more than 5 words.

Full Text Paper Guidelines

  • Full-text papers should be in the Word format (docx).
  • Full text including references may not be longer than 16 pages.
  • The title of the paper should be written in 12 pt, Times New Roman character with capital letters, centered.
  • The scientific title, academic position, surname and the name of the author/s will be typed in 9 pt. Times New Roman font, right-hand corner beneath the title of the article. Contact information of the author(s) (institution and e-mail) should be inserted as a footnote on the same page.
  • Page layout should be as follows; Left: 4 cm, Right: 2 cm, Upper: 2 cm and Bottom: 2 cm. The footer / header function tabs and page numbering system of Word should not be used in the papers.
  • Papers are single spaced in 11-point Times New Roman font.
  • Indentations for the first line of the paragraphs should be 1.5 cm, and 6nk space should be left before and after each paragraph. The body of the paper should be single-spaced and blank lines should not be left between paragraphs and before / after headings.
  • The headings and sub-headings should be numbered as follows: 1., 1.1., 1.1.1., 1.1.2., 1.1.2.1. All major or section headings are to be written in capital letters, and the first letters of subheadings should just be written in capital letters. No spaces should be left before and after the headlines.
  • All captions of tables, figures, charts, etc should be centred at the top of the relevant illustration and references should be 9 pt, left aligned, beneath the illustration. Illustrations should not exceed page margins. Texts and figures in tables and graphics are to be 9 pt., Times New Roman font. If necessary, smaller points may be preferred in tables.
  • In-text citations should be used. Explanatory notes should be given in footnotes (9 points) on the page. In-text citations should be in the form of surname(s) of author(s), year of the source and page number, for example (Flag, 2011: 44). For the works written by more than two authors, “et al” should be used. Footnotes should never be used in citations. However, if the writer of the article to be cited is unknown, the official website and access date should be written in parentheses, for ex. (CBRT, 2016: 7). If the cited reference is taken from a website and the writer of the cited article is clear, it is cited as in the periodicals. If no date is given for the downloaded resource from the Internet, the date for access to that file is considered to be the year of the source date.
  • Any sources used in the research should be included in the bibliography. The types of sources (thesis, books, articles, reports, etc.) should be sorted in alphabetical order according to last names. For the works written by the same author, the entries should be listed by the year (latest comes first). If there are more than one work by the same author in the same year, the works should be listed by adding a, b, c letters next to the year, for example Öz (2002a), Öz (2002b).
